The Intel Future Engineer Scholarship For Girls is a project initiated by Intel Products Vietnam and The Dariu Foundation and was launched in November 2018. 30 scholarships have been granted so far to 30 outstanding female students majored in STEM subjects in Ho Chi Minh City.
The scholarship program includes both academic and soft skills training courses to equip these female students with excellent skills for their future careers. In March 2019, the students have attended an intensive training program on career development that includes creating professional profile, practicing assessment tests as well as conducting mock interviews with employers. The training aims to give the students better preparations to apply for their dream jobs or internships in the future.
At the same time, TDF and Microsoft Vietnam have expanded their “Enabling Boat” project, aiming to enhance disadvantaged youth in the Mekong Delta with computer science and code literacy trainings.
The 2019 program strives to enrich about 240 local teachers with advanced coding subject and teaching methodology that can create the coding access to 180,000 students.
