The Dariu Foundation has been selected by MICROSOFT and ASEAN FOUNDATION as a key partner of the regional “ASEAN Digital Innovation Program” in Vietnam. The collaboration was marked with the opening of the Training of Trainers workshop at Microsoft office in Ho Chi Minh city. The two-day training workshop, conducted by EMPIRE CODE Singapore, is participated by 35 educators from universities, secondary school, NGOs across the country.
ASEAN Digital Innovation Program targets to equip 46,000 underserved youths with digital skills that will allow them to be part of the digital world. To achieve this objective, the program will identify and train 520 educators on how to deliver inclusive and gender-responsive computer science training, using a specially developed toolkit. From a total of 46,000 beneficiaries, 60% of them will be girls and women.
The Dariu Foundation will support and monitor 35 master trainers who shall train 2,000 underserved youth within three months upon the completion of the training session.
