MID-TERM EVALUATION FOR THE DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAM OF THE DARIU FOUNDATION IN VIETNAM FROM JANUARY 2020 TO JUNE 2022
TDF commissioned an independent evaluation to: (1) assess program quality, (2) provide implementation recommendations, and (3) share digital literacy insights for Vietnam. A mixed-methods approach evaluated the program’s Theory of Change.
Conducted by experts from UEH and Van Lang University, Vietnam, and SASIN School of Management, Thailand, findings revealed:
Relevance: Aligned with Industry 4.0 and education reform, the program addressed STEM education needs. It complemented TDF objectives, enhanced national curriculum, and fostered coding clubs for practical STEM engagement.
Impact: Feedback from teachers and students showcased improved skills (communication, teamwork, problem-solving), boosted confidence, and enhanced programming proficiency. Participants noted significant personal growth post-training.
